Yep, a used business laptop blog

Shortly after my Aspire 7 died of motherboard VRMs being fried, I finally bought my first business-grade laptop.

So what model exactly? The HP ProBook 450 G7. It’s just slightly behind an EliteBook, and at that time, the Ryzen ProBooks are out of stock, sadge.

“B-BUT HP HAS HINGE PROBLEMS” Not in business-grade.

For specifications, i’d say it’s a snag so good that I don’t regret it.

  • Intel Core i5 10210U, just a tad weaker than my 10300H, but it’s not a big downgrade. And 15W TDP is the sweet spot :D

  • Intel HD 620, big downgrade in gaming, but I play old games anyways, so I don’t really care. This iGPU can also run Blender too but use OpenGL, since Vulkan will make it laggy.

  • 16 GB of DDR4-2666 (2x 8 GB), ooooh that’s SPICY, great amount of RAM in 2026, definitely a dramatic upgrade from my previous 8 GB (2x 4 GB). Multitasking and bandwith for the iGPU is so much better that way.

  • 256 GB NVMe SSD (Kioxia), Kioxia is known for their reliable storage tech, so i’d take that as a win.

  • 1080p display, it just works

  • Camera shutter, that’s what I’m talking about!

All for that, costs 7.8 million Vietnamese Dong, or VND. Crazy deal.
